The School Day

The school day starts at 8:45 am. Staff are available on the school playground from 8:40 am.

Assemblies

We have three whole school assemblies each week led by the headteacher or a member of the senior leadership team.

In Monday’s assembly we share our ‘word of the week’ which is linked to British values, PSHE, RE or it can be responsive linking to the needs of the children.

Wednesday assemblies focus on celebrating Karate reader achievements and we also sing together. The song choices reflect our core values as well as listening to suggestions made by the children.

On Friday we have a ‘star of the week’ assembly which focuses on celebrating children’s achievements. Each ‘star of the week’ is presented with a certificate detailing their achievement. During this assembly we also celebrate attendance and behaviour points.. At the end of the half term the classes with the highest attendance and behaviour points receive a reward.
