Welcome to Hawthorns Class

We are a lively, creative and curious group who love learning together and supporting one another. Every day in Hawthorns is filled with imagination, exploration and plenty of opportunities to shine.

We are passionate about reading, and you’ll often find us sharing stories, discovering new authors and talking about the books we love. Our classroom buzzes with creative art, role play, construction, and practical investigations, especially in science, where we enjoy asking big questions and finding out how things work.

Our learning blends shared projects with carefully tailored lessons, helping everyone build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths while still having fun along the way. We value kindness, curiosity and teamwork, and we work hard to make our classroom a happy, welcoming place where everyone feels confident and included.

PE takes place every Monday, and reading books are changed every Friday.

We can’t wait to see what adventures await us this year in Hawthorns Class.

I love to travel and have visited many amazing countries around the world including USA, China and Japan

I enjoy listening to music and going to concerts

I like to explore the countryside by going on long walks

I enjoy going to the beach with my family for long walks along the sand

I like going to the theatre to see lots of different shows, and the cinema to watch films

I enjoy gardening, especially when all the flowers come out to bloom

I love playing netball and currently play for South Shields Warriors

I enjoy camping and my favourite place to visit is the Lake District

My favourite food is pizza and my favourite colour is yellow
